A little seed for me to sow
A little soil to make it grow
A little hole, a little pat
A little wish, and that is that
A little sun, a little shower
A little while-
And then, a flower
Activity Flow
It is time to complete your sunflowers. Feel free to take creative liberty and complete them how you would like. This is how we did ours, first we painted centers on 3 paper plates and 3 coffee filters. We chose to do a dark brown on the coffee filters and a reddish brown for the paper plates.
Next we added sunflower seeds using glue to a couple of the paper plates we painted reddish brown. We left one without sunflower seeds for variation.
We chose to weave a few sunflower centers using yarn, but only ended up attaching two to our final project. Follow the weaving tutorial here.
Now that the sunflowers are complete, it is time to assemble! We decided to use a crayon to outline the vase and the table in the background. We positioned everything to our liking first, and then glued the vase and sunflowers into place.
Once finished, find a place to display your beautiful artwork.
